According to a message posted on the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s website, most container terminal gates will close Thursday, January 2nd between 16:00 and 17:00 with all container terminal truck gates closed Friday, January 3rd due to the impending snow storm.  The most recent forecast shows snowfall accumulations of 6 – 9 inches, falling mostly between 18:00 tonight and 09:00 tomorrow with wind gusts up to 35 mph, with white-out conditions expected.

All terminals will reopen for regular business on Monday morning, January 6th.  All vessel cutoffs for Friday will be moved up to COB today and Imports will be granted one more day of free time.
