As many of you may be aware, on September 21, 2018, the USTR published a Notice of Modification of Action providing for the imposition of additional import duties on a third list of Chinese products.

On September 28, 2018, the USTR published a Notice of Amendment of Action announcing changes to the tariff classifications covered by the September 21st list of products (Annex A of that Notice (List 3), covered under Chapter 44 of the Harmonized Tariff System, that are subject to the additional Section 301 duties imposed on goods from China.

Fourteen (14) subheadings were deleted and thirty-eight (38) new HTSUS subheadings were added for Chapter 44 products. Chapter 44 covers wood and articles of wood. Additionally, two subheadings were deleted from Chapter 3. Chapter 3 covers Fish and crustaceans, mollusks and other aquatic invertebrates.

The following subheadings will be removed:

The effective date of these changes is, October 1, 2018.
