Samuel Shapiro & Company, Inc. has recently announced details about its 2008 outreach seminar series.

In addition to hosting multiple classes on Import and Export Compliance, they will also be sponsoring a special seminar on Transportation and Insurance with a focus on 10+2—a newly introduced Customs initiative that will affect every importer.

The Import Compliance seminar will be presented and hosted by Jane Taeger, Shapiro’s Director of Compliance. The Export Compliance seminar will be presented by Liz Gant, Shapiro’s Export Compliance Analyst, and will feature guest speakers from both Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Department of Justice. Jack Bashkow, Shapiro’s Director of Transportation will host the Transportation and Insurance seminar along with a guest speaker from Avalon Risk Management, a premier provider of insurance and surety. Continuing with tradition, the Transportation seminar will be held the same day as the AnnualPropeller Club Crab Feast in Baltimore.core principles and practices of a nimble 3PL.
